The world would be so much better if  http://www.rackspace.com wasn't actually an IT hosting company, but was a very special social networking site, instead  .... ;)

My made-in-Mexico Fender Statocaster has served me well for 10 years, but the time has come now that it is not possible to adjust its intonation without re-fretting, or possibly replacing its neck.

The price of parts and work would have come close to the price of a new guitar, so I was set to get something new this time.

And I got ....  REVEREND DAREDEVIL!!!

Sounds great, so far, and Bass Contour seems to be very helpful to make sound dark and heavy.

And, together with case, after all taxes the price came to $666 :)  (well, $665.76 to be exact)

When people ask me how fast does my car go from 0 to 60, I answer that I don't care, because I go straight to 90.

Urban pigeons are no more than fucking rats with wings.

Almost all jokes about Obama are not that interesting.  If you simply say out loud: "President of the United States - Barack Hussein Obama", it will already sound like a good joke.  Adding anything else on top of it would be just  redundant.

I heard many times that if you drink a lot of alcohol, you will start seeing snakes eventually.
Now I know, this is TRUE!

We just went to a nice Friday dim sum lunch, and the manager brought a bottle of strong 56% ABV Chinese vodka ... with some parts of snake (possibly, even dicks!) inside the bottle!  Tastes great!  I love my job!

I've been working as a software engineer since 1990, and I can definitely attest that the picture (under the cut) is the most insightful representation of what I've been doing during all these years.

Since the band started back in late 2000 / yearly 2001, we have always had at least TWO people living in Hayward, despite all line-up changes.
And still, we haven't played a single show anywhere in Hayward yet.
This Saturday we are going to fix this!

2010.
The Treasury Secretary comes to Barack Obama's office and says: "Mr. President, I have news for you.  Good ones, as well as bad ones".

Barack looks at his teleprompter and reads: "Please, tell me bad news first"

"Mr. President!  After all spending programs that we have passed during the last two years, we cannot maintain our debt anymore.  We have to significantly devalue the dollar"

Barack looks at his teleprompter again and says: "What are the good news, then?"

"Mr. President!  Your face will be on the new $100,000 bill"

It was reported in the news that Rod Blagojevich - recently impeached governor of Illinois - is considering writing a book about the dirty side of politics.  Of course!  Even if this book will be no more but his autobiography it would fit the bill nicely.

But I certainly hope, that he will use some historical perspective and cover many influential Illinois politicians.

And I can suggest a great name for this book...

... "From Abe to ape" !!!
